JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A showdown between two Top-60 teams takes place on Wednesday evening at the UNF Tennis Complex when No. 51 University of North Florida men's tennis hosts No. 57 South Alabama. Match time is set for 5 p.m.

"It was nice to see us climb in the rankings once again," said head coach Mark Finnegan. "We are so excited about tomorrow's match with South Alabama. The team keeps growing and believing in themselves every week. If we keep it up, we are in store for a very special season."

It is the first match for the Ospreys since defeating Furman 4-1 on Feb. 15. UNF owns a 4-0 record on its home court this season and is on a five-match winning streak. Wednesday's match will be the Ospreys' seventh against a ranked opponent this season. Among previous ranked UNF opponents were Louisiana-Lafayette, St. John's, ETSU, Tennessee, College of Charleston and UCF.

UNF has maintained its presence in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Team Rankings this spring, ranking in each of the seven team polls. The Ospreys' No. 51 ranking is the team's highest thus far in 2015 and its highest since achieving a Division I-era best No. 50 on Mar. 20, 2012.

South Alabama comes into Wednesday with a 7-3 record. After appearing in No. 47 in last week's ITA Team Rankings, the Jaguars slipped to No. 57 this week after a 4-3 loss to Troy last Thursday. However, South Alabama rebounded on Monday with a 7-0 sweep of Florida A&M. The Jaguars have been dominate on the No. 1 and No. 2 singles courts and at the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles spots this season. South Alabama is 8-2 at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, 9-1 at No. 2 singles and 8-1 at No. 1 doubles. Powering the Jaguars has been Daniel Leitner, who is ranked No. 84 in singles and No. 60 in doubles with Gerhard Gruindelingh, and Tim Srkala. Leitner is 8-2 this dual season in singles and has won his last seven, while Srkala has a 9-1 singles mark and is on a nine-match winning streak. Meanwhile, Leitner and Gruindelingh are 5-0 at No. 1 doubles.

Wednesday's match is being billed as ATP/PGA Day. In celebration of the day, free pizza and ice cream will be available to all fans while the food lasts.
