KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -- The North Florida women's golf team looks to continue their strong start to the spring season on Sunday in first round action at the Kiawah Island Classic at Osprey Point Golf Club.
The Ospreys matched a program best showing on Tuesday when UNF finished second at the Amelia Island Collegiate. A quartet of players posted top 20 finishes led by Mary Dawson's seventh-place finish.
The three-day, 54-hole event features a field of 40 teams and is contested on a pair of courses on the Osprey Point property.
The travel squad for UNF for the event includes juniors Emelie Alpe, Kelly Aylwin, Belinda George, Dawson along with sophomore Lauren Coe. The Ospreys are making their third consecutive appearance in the event having posted a ninth-place finish in last year's competition.
