JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida baseball team will be home on Wednesday for a non-conference tilt with Georgia Southern at Harmon Stadium. With impending weather the game time has been moved from 6:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Series History: Georgia Southern and North Florida split the two-game season series last year. The Ospreys own the all-time series winning 10 of 18 meetings. Since 2011, North Florida has won eight of the last 10 meetings and is 6-2 against the Eagles at Harmon Stadium.
Defensive Prowess: The Ospreys currently lead the Atlantic Sun and are ranked 15th in the country with a .984 fielding percentage. The Ospreys have four games this season where they have not committed an error.
Hometown Boys: Senior Trent Higginbothem and sophomore Patrick Ervin got a chance to play in their hometown of Pensacola this past weekend in the Cox Diamond Invitational. Higginbothem left Pensacola on a high note after a 3-for-5, four RBI effort on Sunday against St. Louis. He tied the game up with second home run of the season give the Ospreys a 5-3 lead in the fourth inning. He later drove in the go-head run and finished the day a triple shy of the cycle. Ervin had a hit in three of the four games and scored three runs in the series.
Multiple Hit Games: Higginbothem and Ryan Roberson have each put forth four multiple hit games this season. In seven games Higinbothem has three, three-hit efforts. He was second on the team last season with 21 multiple hit games.
One-run games: Four of the eight games this season for North Florida have been decided by one run. In those games the Ospreys are 1-3. The record does not include a 3-1 loss to VMI in the season opener. In 2014, the Ospreys were 7-11 in one-run ball games.
Scouting the Eagles: The Eagles will play their first game on the road after eight-straight games at Clements Stadium on Wednesday. They kicked off the season with a three-game sweep of Bethune Cookman, outscoring the Wildcats, 24-16. After a loss to in-state foe, Georgia Tech, the Eagles took two out of three against West Virginia. The Eagles are coming off a Southern Conference Championship and an NCAA Tournament berth in 2014. Georgia Southern returns six starters in the field from last season including Aaron Mizell who hit 13 home runs including two in a game against North Florida last year.
