
Spring Season Tees Off for @OspreyWGolf at Amelia Island Collegiate

AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. -- The North Florida women's golf team opens up tournament play for their spring schedule on Monday morning in the Amelia Island Collegiate at Amelia National Golf Club.
The Ospreys look to build on a strong finish to their fall slate having posted back-to-back top five showings in their final two events. UNF is making its second appearance at the 54-hole event hosted by Jacksonville, having finished seventh a year ago on the par 72, 6,029-yard layout.
Juniors Emelie Alpe and Kelly Aylwin lead the way for the Ospreys lineup in the event with Alpe having ranked second on the squad during the fall with a 76.25 stroke average followed in third by Aylwin at 77.67. Sophomore Lauren Coe will make her season debut for UNF after missing the fall season recovering from surgery. Juniors Mary Dawson and Belinda George round out the team list for the Ospreys. In addition, sophmores Nathalie Nygren and Megan Wilshire will compete in the event as individuals.
The two-day event features a competitive 15-team field. Tournament action includes an opening day of 36 holes of play on Monday followed by a final round of 18 holes on Tuesday.
North Florida will be paired  with Toledo and James Madison for an 8 a.m. shotgun start beginning on holes 4-7.
