
Longhorn Invitational Wraps Up Fall Season for @OspreyWGolf

AUSTIN, Texas -- The North Florida women's golf team closes out its fall season tournament schedule beginning action Monday in the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at the UT Golf Club (par 72 / 6,298 yards).
The Longhorn Invitational features a competitive 14-team field that includes four squads currently ranked in the Top 25 of the Golfstat rankings. No. 8 Kent State tops the list of ranked teams which also includes No. 22 UNLV, No. 24 Houston and No. 25 New Mexico.

The Ospreys, who will be playing their second tournament in the last week, send a veteran lineup to the Longhorn Invitational led by a quartet of seniors. Reigning Atlantic Sun Player of the Week, Mary Dawson, looks to build on her record setting performance in the last event while Emelie Alpe tops the squad with a 74.33 stroke average. Junior Lauren Coe and seniors Kelly Aylwin and Belinda George round out the travel lineup for UNF with junior Nathalie Nygren competing as an individual.
The event format includes 54 holes of play over two days beginning with 36 holes of play Monday. North Florida opens play on holes 5-8 at 8:30 a.m. (CT) alongside Texas Tech and Miami in the shotgun start.
