@OspreyWSOC Takes on Stetson in A-Sun Home Opener Friday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida women's soccer team hosts their first Atlantic Sun opponent of the season when they take on Stetson this Friday night at 7 p.m. at Hodges Stadium.

The Ospreys (2-8-0, 0-1-0) look to rebound after falling to FGCU 2-0 in Fort Myers last Saturday. The Hatters (6-4-0, 1-0-0) are coming off of an overtime win over Jacksonville in their A-Sun opener last Saturday.

Friday's match will also be senior recognition night, as the team will recognize the efforts of this year's senior class, Ashley Carmean, Zakiya Chambers-Hunter, Amanda Fischler and Lanie Keating.

Ashley Carmean – Malabar, Fla.
A three-time member of the Atlantic Sun Academic Honor Roll and a four-year letterwinner, Ashley Carmean has emerged as a midfield staple for the Ospreys, totaling 796 minutes so far this season, which ranks second on the team. Carmean has registered one career goal, coming in her sophomore season.

Zakiya Chambers-Hunter – Solomons, Md.
A three-time member of the Atlantic Sun Honor Roll, Chambers-Hunter has been a reserve goalkeeper for the past three seasons, for three of those seasons; Chambers-Hunter also was a member of the North Florida Women's Basketball team.

Amanda Fischler – Tallahassee, Fla.
A three-time member of the Atlantic Sun Honor Roll and a four-year letterwinner for the Ospreys, Fischler has shown to be a midfielder who can occasionally find the back of the net. Fischler has registered two goals and three assists in her career. She registered her first career goal last season in a win over USC Upstate.

Lanie Keating – Longwood, Fla.
A three-time member of the Atlantic Sun Honor Roll and a four-year letterwinner for the Ospreys, Keating has been an emerging presence on the defense and as a specialist. Keating has made 42 starts over the course of her career out of 54 appearances. Last season, Keating earned A-Sun Defensive Player of the Week. This year she has registered one goal while leading the team in shots and shots-on-goal. For her performance on the field, in the classroom, and in the community, Lanie Keating was recognized by the Atlantic Sun on their 2014-2015 Winners for Life team.
