JACKSONVILLE -- After playing six consecutive games on the road, the North Florida basketball team makes its home return and 2015 debut at UNF Arena against Trinity Baptist College on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. The first 150 UNF students receive free Osprey socks.
The Ospreys (7-9) look to halt a current four-game skid with their return to the friendly confines in Jacksonville. The game marks just the third UNF home game of the season and the first since Dec. 15, while also tipping off a three-game stretch of contests within the city borders.Â
In the squad's last outing at Alabama, Demarcus Daniels paced the Ospreys scoring 14 points highlighted by a trio of three-pointers. Chris Davenport chipped in 11 points and a team-best six rebounds versus the Tide.
Trinity Baptist, a member of the NCCAA, enter the contest at 8-5 and riding a four-game win streak. The Eagles play at Bethune-Cookman on Monday night before facing the Ospreys on Tuesday.
Following the TBC contest, North Florida opens up Atlantic Sun Conference play Saturday against crosstown rival Jacksonville at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
