JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The series finale between University of North Florida softball and Stetson was called in the bottom of the fourth inning after torrential rain and storms came through the Jacksonville area, forcing unplayable field conditions. The game will not be continued and will be considered a no contest.
A minimum of 5.0 complete innings must be played in order for a game to be counted as official. Since the minimum number of required innings was not completed, Wednesday's game is declared a no contest.
Stetson had a 5-0 lead when the game was initially delayed for lightning at 2:03 p.m. Mariah Reynolds was at bat with a 2-1 count and two outs.
The Ospreys conclude the 2014 season with a 26-23 overall record and 10-16 in the Atlantic Sun.
