
#WGolf Opens Play in Web.com Intercollegiate on Monday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The North Florida women's golf team will close out their regular season schedule in the Web.com Intercollegiate beginning with 36 holes of play Monday at Marsh Landing Country Club.
The Web.com event will be co-hosted by the Ospreys and their crosstown rival Jacksonville on the par 72, 5,967 yard layout at Marsh Landing. A 19-team field including 13 teams ranked among the nation's Top 100 highlighted by a quartet of squads listed in the Top 50.
"We will face our strongest field of the year in the Web.com tournament," said UNF head coach Joanne Steele. "The team is looking forward to putting their hard work to the test against some of the nations top collegiate teams."
North Florida heads into the event on a bit of a roll having recorded back-to-back third place finishes in their last two outings. The Osprey's lineup in the Web.com will be led by sophomores Emelie Alpe and Kelly Aylwin. The rest of the UNF lineup includes sophomore Belinda George and freshmen Lauren Coe and Nathalie Nygren.
Joining UNF and JU in the tournament field include No. 17 UCF, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, East Carolina, FIU, No. 35 Florida State, Illinois, James Madison, No. 38 Louisville, Maryland, McNeese State, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, No. 24 Ohio State, Sam Houston State and Toledo.
Monday's action begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., and continuos play through the second round in the afternoon. The Ospreys will be paired with Michigan, Cincinnati and JMU during day one play starting on holes 11-14.
The Web.com Intercollegiate is open to the public with free admission. Live scoring is available online at Golfstat.com.
