JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The North Florida baseball team will play host to cross-town rival Jacksonville University this weekend in the annual SunTrust River City Rumble. The three-game series will commence on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. at Dusty Rhodes Field at Harmon Stadium.

All three games will be broadcasted live on 1010 XL . Robert Harper, the voice of the Ospreys, will have the call beginning on Friday at 5:45 p.m. Live stat links for all three contests can be found HERE. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the UNF Arena ticket office, by mail (season ticket orders), online, or by phone at 904-620-BIRD (2473). On game day, tickets will be able to be purchased at the gate starting 1 hour prior to game.

About Jacksonville: The Dolphins won their first Atlantic Series of the season last week, taking two out of three from Kennesaw State. Jacksonville clinched the series with a two-out single in the eighth inning by Scott Schaub on Sunday for a 4-3 victory. In the mid-week the Dolphins dropped a pair of decisions, a 13-5 loss to Georgia Southern on Tuesday and a 4-1 defeat at the hands of the College of Charleston on Wednesday. Schaub leads a trio of .300 hitters with a .371 batting average and 16 RBIs.

River City Rumble History: Jacksonville owns a 29-19 advantage in the all-time series that dates back to 1988. In recent years it has been the Ospreys that have enjoyed the majority of the success. Last year North Florida swept Jacksonville, outscoring the Dolphins, 32-7. The Ospreys have won five of the last six and taken the last two series.

Multiple-Hit Games: Drew Weeks went 2-for-4 with a home run and an RBI on Tuesday night against UCF. He has now put forth multiple hit efforts in 17 of his 29 starts this season.

Trexler's Follow-Up Performance: Last week, senior David Trexler held one of the Atlantic Sun's premier offenses to just two hits in a 6-3 win over Mercer. The right-hander threw 109 pitches in seven innings, picking up his third win of the season. He tied a season-high with six strikeouts and allowed only two earned runs.

Still Atop the ASun in Hitting: The Ospreys are the only team in the Atlantic Sun with a team batting average over .300. The Ospreys are batting .302 and are second in the league with 310 hits.

Keeping Opponents Under Five: The Ospreys have been successful this year when keeping their opponents under five runs. A total of 11 of their 14 wins have come when the opposition has scored five or less.

Central Florida Recap: The long ball was not enough to get the Ospreys past in-state foe UCF. Alex Bacon and Drew Weeks both went deep, each in the solo variety in the 8-4 loss. The Ospreys committed two costly errors that allowed three unearned runs two score.

Ospreys in the National Ranks: Coming into the week of play the Ospreys ranked in the top 25 in hits, home runs, and batting average. North Florida is 15th in the country in hits (301), 24th in home runs (17) and 25th in batting average. Junior Drew weeks is second in the nation with 49 hits and ninth with a .434 batting average.
