Regular Season Wraps Up for #MBB Saturday at Kennesaw State

KENNESAW, Ga.-- The North Florida basketball team concludes its regular season schedule on the road Saturday against Kennesaw State at 1 p.m.
The Ospreys (15-15, 9-8 ASun) enter the season finale still battling to finalize their spot in the upcoming Atlantic Sun Conference tournament. UNF is currently tied with Lipscomb for the fifth-seed.
North Florida got back to their winning ways on Thursday earning a hard fought overtime win over league leader Mercer, 79-76. The win allowed UNF to earn a season sweep of the Bears while marking MU's first home loss of the year. With the victory, the Ospreys also reached the 15-win mark for the just the fifth time in the program's 22-year history and the third time in the last four seasons.
The Owls (6-24, 3-14) will be playing their final game of the year on Saturday afternoon. Kennesaw State has dropped its last two games including a tough two-point loss to Jacksonville on Thursday night.
Freshman Dallas Moore leads a trio of UNF scorers in double digits averaging 12.3 points per game. Senior Travis Wallace is averaging 12.0 ppg while sophomore Beau Beech is scoring at a 10.3 points per game clip. Wallace has enjoyed success in his career against the Owls averaging 24.3 points per game in five career contests including four games with 20 or more points.
Delbert Love leads the KSU attack scoring 12.2 points a game, while Orlando Coleman adds 9.8 ppg and 6.2 rebounds per game.
Saturday's game marks the 34th all-time meeting between UNF and Kennesaw State with the Ospreys holding a 17-16 lead in the series following UNF's 85-60 victory in the season's first meeting between the pair. North Florida carries a nine-game win streak over KSU into Saturday's contest.
