GAINESVILLE, Fla. – With it being a week since its last game, University of North Florida women's basketball returns to the hardwood on Sunday afternoon at Florida in what is the Ospreys' final non-conference road game of the season. Tip is set for 2 p.m., from the O'Connell Center and the game will air live on the SEC+ Network.

"It's another great opportunity and a huge challenge for our team on the road," said head coach Mary Tappmeyer. "Florida is a scrappy and aggressive team that will fight for every ball. This will be a true test for us."

UNF comes off a 2-0 performance at its own Hampton Inn Oceanfront Holiday Classic last weekend. Paulina Zaveckaite was selected as the Classic's MVP after logging two double-doubles, including a school-record 23 rebounds against Western Carolina. Amber Robinson also earned All-Classic honors.

Several Streaks: Three Ospreys have several multi-game streaks heading into Sunday's game. Destinee Smith is on a 10-game, double-digit point streak. Paulina Zaveckaite has recorded a double-double in each of UNF's last three games and double-digit rebounds in seven of the last eight contests. Meanwhile Janeá Williams has made at least one block in each of the last eight games.

Lucky Seven: With two wins last weekend, the Ospreys now have seven victories, surpassing their win total from a year ago. Additionally, UNF's seven wins are the most its had against non-conference competition.

Solid Defense: Since the loss at Samford on Nov. 24, UNF has kept seven of its last eight opponents to below their points average.

Scouting Florida: Enters Sunday with a 7-5 record… went 1-1 at its Gator Holiday Classic, defeating Southern 78-49 last Sunday, but falling 67-56 to Eastern Washington on Monday… 2-0 against Atlantic Sun teams this season, defeating Jacksonville (84-73) and Stetson (59-54)… Sunday's game is the fifth of a six-game homestand and is also the Gators' non-conference finale… Cassie Peoples averages 10.3 points per game… Kayla Lewis is averaging 6.8 rebounds per game.

UNF-Florida Series: Florida leads the all-time series 4-0 and won the most recent meeting 88-77 on Nov. 10, 2013 at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
