ORLANDO, Fla. -- The No. 47-ranked North Florida men's golf team remained in fifth place at the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational following a round of even-par 288 Monday at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club.

All-American senior MJ Maguire led the way for the Ospreys on day two carding a 4-under par 68 to move into a tie for seventh in the medalist competition with a two round total of 138 (-6). As a team, UNF owns a 36 hole tally of 10-under 566.

"Overall it was a pretty average round of golf for the team," said head coach Scott Schroeder. "The course was set up much harder than in Sunday's opening round so a score of even par was a solid day. MJ (Maguire) had a very good round for us followed by a bunch of just okay performances. We know that tomorrow's set-up will be the most challenging of the tournament so we will be important for us to be ready and patient."

Fellow senior Joey Petronio joins Maguire among the Top 25 individuals, ranking in a tie for 23rd at 2-under par 142 after shooting a 1-over 73 on Monday. Junior Austin Padova shot a 74 (+2) and is tied for 30th at even par 144 with junior Taylor Hancock one shot behind him at 145 (T34th) after his round of 76. Redshirt freshman Dillon Woods posted a second round 73 (+1) and is tied for 50th at 147 to complete the UNF lineup at the event.

In the team competition, No. 12 ranked Vanderbilt moved to the top of the leaderboard after firing the day's best round of 279 (-9). The Commodores two-day total of 550 is two shots in front of No. 2 ranked Florida State at 552. First round leader No. 7 Texas Tech is third at 554 with No. 1 Illinois (565) and UNF rounding out the top five teams. VU's Carson Jacobs owns a three stroke advantage in medalist play at 11-under par 133.

Tournament action at the TCI concludes with a final round on Tuesday. North Florida tees off from Hole No. 1 at 8:50 a.m., playing alongside Illinios and No. 17 California.
