#MTEN falls to No. 36 FSU But Defeats Florida A&M

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—The University of North Florida men's tennis team fell to No. 36 Florida State 4-0, but later defeated Florida A&M 4-1 on Saturday at the Seminole Quad Tournament Florida State Indoor Facility.

In the morning's match against Florida State, Jose Garcia defeated Pablo Tellez 6-2, 6-1 and Dominic Cotrone was victorious over Caio Gomes 6-1, 6-2. Michael Rinaldi then took down Zach Goldberg 6-3, 6-2 and Blake Davis got a 6-4, 6-4 win against Jack Findel-Hawkins.

In the afternoon against Florida A&M, Yannick Zuern defeated Courage Okungbowa 6-1, 6-1, while Zach Goldberg finished off Jalen Evans 6-0, 6-1. Norbert Nemcsek conquered Zack Evenden 6-4, 6-0. Although Caio Gomes fell 6-1, 6-4 to Rodney Carey, Jack Findel-Hawkins clenched the match-winning point by defeating Admire Mushonga 6-3, 6-3.

The Ospreys next see play against Florida on Wednesday, Jan. 22 in Gainesville, Fla., at 3 p.m.
