The Ospreys completed the two-day, 54-hole event with a final team score of 905. Junior All-American MJ Maguire led the way for UNF earning a season-best tie for fourth in medalist play. Maguire collected his fourth straight Top 25 finish of the year shooting a final round 74 (+2) for a three-round 217 (+1).
Sophomore Austin Padova, who carded a final round 77, and senior Taylor Johnson (76) both finished tied for 46th at 230, while junior Parker Jones (77) tied for 59th at 233. Junior Joey Petronio rounded out the Osprey lineup finishing tied for 76th at 237 after a 79.
In addtion, redshirt-freshman Osten Waite (76) and sophomore Taylor Hancock (74) participated in the event as individuals and tied for 31st at 227.
"First of all, I want to congratulate MJ on a solid finish this week," said UNF head coach Scott Schroeder. "As a team, we had a rough few days. We played very poorly and made way too many costly mistakes. We can't make those kinds of mistakes if we want to be a good team. We were hoping for a better showing headed into our winter break from competition."
Vanderbilt claimed the team title with a three-round total of 876 with Tulsa finishing second at 884. Mercer was third at 889 followed by Troy (890), Southeastern Louisiana (890), Georgia Southern (892), FGCU (897), UNF, GRU Augusta (909), Southern Miss (914), Francis Marion (914), Loyola, Md. (919), Furman (922), Jacksonville (925) and Lipscomb (928).
Tulsa's Logan McCraken captured the individual medalist crown at five-under 211.
North Florida will now take the winter off from competition before returning to the tournament action Feb. 3-4 at the JU Invitational at TPC Sawgrass.
