MACON, Ga -- Junior Cameron Dickerson of the University of North Florida track and field team was named the men's Atlantic Sun Track Performer of the Week for the second consecutive week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Dickerson earned the award after grabbing a gold medal in the 1500m for the third time in four tries this season at this past weekend's Seminole Invitational. The junior's only loss in the event this season (a fifth-place finish) came at last week's prestigious Florida Relays.
His time of 3:47.29 this week was his best 1500m effort of the season and is now the fastest time in the A-Sun this year by more than two seconds.
The UNF track and field teams are preparing to host the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships this weekend, April 20-21, on their home track at Hodges Stadium.
