JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – University of North Florida women's tennis plays its second home match in three days on Saturday when Troy visits the UNF Tennis Complex at 2 p.m.
The Ospreys are undefeated at home this spring season, having won both of their matches on their home courts. UNF comes off a 6-1 win over Eastern Kentucky on Thursday. Against the Colonels, the Ospreys swept the doubles competition, marking the first time this season in which UNF has won all three of the doubles matches. UNF also took five of the six singles matches.
After starting the season with four-straight losses – including three to nationally ranked teams, Troy has won its last three. However, Troy's had just over three weeks in between its matches against Kennesaw State (Feb. 12) and Austin Peay (Mar. 6) and has not been on the road since the Clemson Winter Indoor Classic Feb. 3-5. Saturday's match is the start of a four-match road swing for the Trojans. Four Trojans enter Saturday riding three-match singles winning streaks. Additionally, the duo of Olfa Dhaoui and Rosaura Ramirez-Vega also brings a three-match winning streak into the doubles competition.
The women's match is part of a doubleheader with UNF's and Troy's men's teams. The men play first at 10 a.m., with the women to follow.
