
Men's Tennis Continues Homestand with Troy on Saturday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – University of North Florida men's tennis continues with a seven-match homestand on Saturday when the Ospreys welcome Troy for a 10 a.m., match at the UNF Tennis Complex. It will be the first of three matches in four days for the Ospreys.
UNF began the homestand last Sunday with a thrilling 4-3 victory over Florida A&M. Moritz Buerchner's three-set win at No. 1 singles clinched the match for the Ospreys. Home court has played to UNF's advantage with the Ospreys holding a 4-1 record in home matches this season. Both Buerchner and Daniel Sotomarino have won their last two home singles matches. Meanwhile, doubles partners Sotomarino and Norbert Nemcsek and partners Buerchner and Davisson are all undefeated in home matches. Nemcsek and Sotomarino enter the weekend at 5-0 when playing doubles at the UNF Tennis Complex, including two-straight No. 1 wins.
Troy's already gotten a match at the UNF Tennis Complex under its belt when the Trojans fell 4-2 to Eastern Kentucky on Thursday. The Trojans enter the weekend with a 2-8 record and are currently winless on the road this season. Saturday's match is the first of two straight against Atlantic Sun teams for the Trojans, who also play Jacksonville on Sunday.
Saturday's match will be part of a doubleheader with UNF's and Troy's women's teams.
