Women's Tennis Visits UCF for Midweek Match

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – University of North Florida returns to the road on Wednesday when the Ospreys travel to UCF for a 2 p.m., match at the UCF Tennis Complex. Wednesday's match will be UNF's final out-of-conference match that takes place on the road.
UNF has won its last two matches – 6-1 victories over both USC Upstate and ETSU, but has not won on the road since posting a 5-2 win at UNC Wilmington on Feb. 11. However, in their last two matches, the Ospreys have won all three doubles matches and five of the six singles points. Lorena Aviles enters Wednesday riding a five-match singles winning streak and a 7-2 performance on the season.
UCF is in the middle of a nine-match homestand and has only gone 2-4 thus far. The Knights are 5-9 on the season with one of their wins being 6-1 over Florida Gulf Coast. However, UCF's schedule has already included four-ranked opponents, including then-No. 3 Duke on Mar. 9. UCF comes off a 5-2 win over Harvard on Sunday. Despite losing the doubles point, UCF came back to take five of the six singles matches.
