JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – University of North Florida men's tennis dropped a 4-3 Atlantic Sun Conference match to five-time defending conference champion ETSU on Saturday at the UNF Tennis Complex.
“The ETSU coaching staff has built a great program and we expected today's match to be the dogfight that it was,” said head coach Adam Schaechterle. “I'm disappointed in the outcome, but proud of our team effort. ETSU executed better in the big moments and deserved to win. We know where we need to improve, and will look forward to meeting them again at the conference tournament.”
The match began in UNF's favor with the Ospreys taking the doubles point as a result of wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots.
Daniel Sotomarino and
Norbert Nemcsek defeated Sander Gille and Robin Akser 8-6 at No. 1 doubles.
Leonardo Nahar and
