Biography

2011-12 (junior): Went 21-9 overall in singles, including 15-7 during dual matches and 8-1 in Atlantic Sun matches… played primarily at No. 5 singles (8-4), but also played at No. 3 (1-0), No. 4 (4-1) and No. 6 (2-2)… notched the match-winning point in both of UNF’s 4-3 upsets of then-No. 42 South Alabama (Mar. 12) and then-No. 33 UNC Wilmington (Mar. 13)… defeated South Alabama’s Dauw Kruger at No. 6 singles 6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-3… came back the next day to down UNC Wilmington’s Kaue Pereira 7-6 (4) 0-6, 7-6 (4) at No. 5 singles… named Atlantic Sun Player of the Week on Mar. 14 as the result of his two match-winning points… won 13 of last 14 finished matches… had a seven-match singles winning streak that began with a 6-0, 3-0 ret., win over Florida A&M’s Fabrice Myrtil on Mar. 4… won singles matches against then-No. 74 Stetson (Mar. 31) and Belmont (Apr. 6) in order to help UNF to key 4-3 Atlantic Sun wins… defeated Stetson’s Nathan Debut 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 singles… rallied for a 5-7, 6-1, 6-1 win against Belmont’s Fernando Mussolini on the No. 4 court… went 13-8 overall in doubles play, including 10-6 in the spring… teamed with Moritz Buerchner, Graham Edgar and Pedro Davisson in doubles during the spring… played all doubles matches in the spring at No. 3… won six of first eight doubles matches of the season… posted a 6-2 singles record and a 3-2 doubles mark in the fall… opened fall season by winning the B Flight at the State of Florida Championships (Sept. 23-26)… went to three sets in four of five matches at State of Florida Championships… posted wins over UCF’s Eugene Bolgovykh, Florida Gulf Coast’s Matthew Rock, USF’s Sebastian Hagn and teammate Norbert Nemcsek in order to reach the Flight B finals… downed Florida State’s Andres Bucaro 1-6, 6-4, 12-10... match with Hagn featured multiple match points before Nahar came out with a 5-7, 6-2, 17-15 win… Atlantic Sun Academic Honor Roll.

2010-11 (Sophomore): Named Second-Team All-Atlantic Sun with doubles partner Pedro Davisson after the duo posted a 9-6 overall record and 6-1 in conference play… posted a 9-7 overall doubles record… strung together five-straight doubles wins with Davisson from Mar. 4-16, including an 8-4 victory over No. 63 East Tennessee’s No. 3 doubles duo of Juan Ramirez and Robin Akser… was 14-9 in singles play, posting an 8-3 record a No. 4 singles… also saw time at No. 5 (3-4) and No. 6 singles (3-2)… went undefeated in singles play from Mar. 26-Apr. 11.


2009-10 (Freshman): Joined the team for the spring, duals portion of the season… notched a 15-11 mark playing primarily at the No. 5 (10-4) but also saw time at No. 1 (0-2), No. 2 (0-2), No. 3 (2-1) and No. 4 (3-2)… in doubles, he recorded a 9-6 record at the No. 3 with partner Moritz Buerchner.

Other Experience: A three time Rio de Janeiro and National Brazilian Champion, winning in 2006, 2007 and 2008… Ranked 90th in Brazil last year and first in Rio de Janeiro… has played in the Argentina Cup (COSAT), Banana Bowl (COSAT) and Gerdau (COSAT)… has also played in seven ITF tournaments.

Personal: Majoring in International Trade… son of Luiz and Laura Nahar… has two brothers, Luiz Gustavo and Luiz Armando… born Jan. 10.
