
UNF Seniors Make Final Home Appearance Monday Night

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida basketball team plays its final home game of the season and honors its senior class Monday against Atlantic Sun Conference rival Mercer in UNF Arena at 7 p.m.
The Ospreys (14-15, 8-8 A-Sun) have won three consecutive home games and are 10-4 at UNF Arena this year. Mercer (20-8, 12-3) return to action after having their nine-game win streak snapped by Jacksonville on Saturday night.
Monday's game marks the 14th all-time meeting between UNF and Mercer on the hardwood. The Owls hold an 11-2 advantage in the series including wins in two straight and six of the last seven. MU posted a 69-58 victory in the pairs first meeting this year despite a 20-point performance by Travis Wallace.
Wallace, the Ospreys leading rebounder at 5.3 boards a game, is also one of three players averaging double digit points (11.4 ppg). Parker Smith leads UNF in scoring at 13.3 points per game and Jerron Granberry averages 10.8. Granberry enters Monday's tilt just 12 points shy of 1,000 for his career.
In a pregame ceremony, UNF will recognize its senior class of Matt Sauey and Jimmy Williams along with team support service members David Miller, Adam Lee and Kasey Downard.
