LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The North Florida basketball team begins bracket play Saturday at 2:30 p.m. (PT)/5:30 p.m. (ET) in the Continental Tires Las Vegas Classic against Cal State Bakersfield at the Orleans Arena.
The Ospreys (3-8) have lost their last four outings including a tough 74-64 loss on Wednesday night in Portland. The Roadrunners (4-8) have dropped their previous two contests after falling 78-58 at Colorado State on Wednesday.
Saturday's contest marks the first meeting between UNF and CSUB on the hardwood. The game also marks the North Florida basketball programs first game in Las Vegas.
Against Portland, junior Travis Wallace led the way for North Florida finishing with a season best 27 points highlighted by an 11-for-17 shooting performance. Wallace extended his current double digit scoring streak to eight games.
The Ospreys enjoyed a bit of sightseeing upon their arrival in Las Vegas on Thursday as the team spent several hours taking in the sights and sounds of the Vegas Strip including visits to the Bellagio Fountain show and Caesar's Palace.
