PORTLAND, Ore. – The North Florida basketball team continues its four-game road stretch Wednesday at 7 p.m. (PT) against the University of Portland in the Chiles Center. The game is part of the opening rounds for the Continental Tires Las Vegas Classic
The Ospreys (3-7) look to snap a three-game losing skid after dropping a tough 83-55 decision at Colorado State on Monday night. The Pilots enter the match-up at 5-6 after posting a win over CSU-Bakersfield on Monday.
Wednesday's contest marks the first meeting between UNF and UP on the hardwood. North Florida is 0-2 all-time against West Coast Conference members having previously faced BYU and St. Mary's.
On Monday, junior Travis Wallace led the way for North Florida finishing with 12 points extending his double-digit scoring streak to seven games. Senior Parker Smith also reached double figures finishing with 10 points despite struggling from the three-point line with a 1-of-7 performance.
The Ospreys enjoyed a bit of sightseeing upon their arrival in Portland on Tuesday as the team made a trip to Beaverton for a tour of the Nike campus.
