
Women's Golf Closes Fall Season at Hatter Classic

DeLAND, Fla. – The University of North Florida women's golf team concludes play in their inaugural fall season at the Holiday Inn Express/Hatter Classic played at Victoria Hills Golf Club.
The two-day, 54-hole event begins with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start on Monday. The teams will play two holes on the opening day followed by a final round of 18 holes Tuesday.
The Ospreys have posted three consecutive Top 10 showings and are coming off a ninth-place finish at the Lady Paladin Invitational on Oct. 26-28. For the second straight tournament, UNF will feature an all freshmen lineup.
Freshmen Tess Huber, who tops the team with a 76.08 stroke average, leads the squad into its final fall event. Huber will be joined by fellow newcomers Mary Rodgers, Kelly Aylwin, Victoria Pitenis and Belinda George.
Other teams in the Hatter Classic field include tournament host Stetson along with Bethune-Cookman, Daytona State, FAU, Webber International, McNeese State, USC Upstate and Lipscomb.
Following the Hatter Classic, North Florida will take four months off from competition before returning the links in their spring opener, the Kiawah Island Classic, on Mar. 2-4, 2013.
