TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The North Florida basketball team tips continues its current five-game road stretch Wednesday as the Ospreys visit in-state foe Florida State in a 7 p.m. tip at the Donald L. Tucker Center.
The Ospreys (1-3) have dropped their last three contests including a tough 74-55 loss at Kansas State on Sunday afternoon. The Seminoles (3-1) have won three straight after opening the year with a loss to South Alabama.
The game marks just the second all-time meeting between UNF and FSU with the Seminoles claiming a 75-55 victory in the first match-up on Nov. 12, 2010. In the inaugural meeting, UNF's Parker Smith led all scorers with 16 points in the game.
Smith, who leads the Ospreys in scoring this season at 15.0 points per game, has connected on 17 three-pointers this season and is averaging 4.3 treys per game. Travis Wallace tops the squad in rebounding with 4.3 per contest and is second in scoring at 9.8 points per game.
Michael Snaer paces the FSU attack averaging 14.8 points a game.
Wednesday's tilt will be televised live on Fox Sports South and also available online on ESPN3 (watchespn.com).
