
Basketball Visits Virginia Tech on Monday Night

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The North Florida basketball team continues its current three-game road swing Monday at 7 p.m. against Virginia Tech at Cassell Coliseum.
The Ospreys (5-6) look to halt a two-game skid following a hard fought loss at Auburn on Saturday night. UNF is still searching for its first road win of the season while Virginia Tech (8-3) tries to extend its current win streak to four games.
Monday's game marks the first ever meeting between UNF and VT on the hardwood. It will be UNF's second game this season versus an ACC opponent with the Ospreys having already played at Miami. The Hokies will be hosting their second Atlantic Sun Conference foe after facing ETSU in their season opener.
Parker Smith leads a trio of double-digit scorers for UNF averaging 10.6 points per game, followed by Jerron Granberry (10.5 ppg) and Andy Diaz (10.5 ppg). Travis Wallace, who led the way for UNF against Auburn with 13 points and seven rebounds, tops the squad in rebounding with 5.2 boards a contest.
