
Georgia Southern Slips by UNF

UNF was led by a pair of freshmen on the night. Austin Doyle led all Osprey players with three shots including two shots on goal. Fellow freshman Ricky Lawrence added a pair of shots and finished the night with an assist.
Sophomore Greg Crowell had just one shot, but made it count as the team captain netted his first goal of the season. The goal was Crowell's third of his career, while the assist was
“In the second half, I thought we were put back on our heels a bit,” Crowell said after the match. “It is unfortunate to give up a goal so late in the match, but I thought we did a good job of keeping up the intensity. We were still in it throughout the entire match. We have a match on Saturday so we have to bounce back and try to get a win.”
True freshman Tyler Willets took the hard luck loss for the Ospreys. Willets recorded six saves on the night, including several spectacular stops to keep the Eagles out of the net.
Steele scored the decisive goal in the 82nd minute. GSU's Jon Cox put the ball into the front of the goal and Steele collected the rebound and put it in the back of the goal to give the visitors a 2-1 advantage.
The Eagles were able to keep the Ospreys out of the goal in the final seven and a half minutes to secure the victory.
