JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida's men's soccer team announced its 2010 schedule. The schedule features 15 regular season matches, including seven matches to be played at Hodges Stadium.
“I think it is the best schedule we have had in five years, since we started the transition [to full Division I],” head coach Ray Bunch commented. “We have more home games than we have had in the past. We have more home games this year which is exciting. We made the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament last year. We had good support last year and with more home games this year we are hoping for better support.”
The Ospreys kick off the soccer season with a pair of exhibition matches. In the first exhibition match of the season, UNF will take on Middle Georgia on Thursday, Aug. 26 at 6 p.m. at Hodges Stadium.
After an exhibition game on the road, North Florida officially starts the 2010 season at the UAB “Soccer for a Cure” Classic in Birmingham, Ala. The Ospreys open the season against Memphis on Friday, Sept. 10, before playing tournament-host UAB on Saturday, Sept. 11.
Following the UAB Tournament, North Florida returns home for a pair of matches. The Ospreys take on Georgia Southern on Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. for the first home match of the season. On Saturday, Sept. 18, UNF plays host to Longwood in a match set for 5 p.m.

North Florida continues the homestand with a match on Friday, Oct. 8 against Belmont. On Sunday, Oct. 10, the Ospreys square off against Lipscomb.
