
Ospreys to Host Campbell

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida volleyball team will host Atlantic Sun Conference opponent Campbell at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6 at UNF Arena.
Leading the Ospreys (5-21, 2-6 A-Sun) is Paige Pridgeon with 3.80 kills per set. Jessica Catelano is adding 2.27 while Dagnija Medina and Anna Budinska are averaging 1.81 per set, each. Britt Claessens is putting up 8.66 assists per set. On the defensive side the Ospreys are led by libero Nicole Baran with 4.18 digs per set. Medina has tallied a team-high 77 blocks this season.
UNF last faced Georgia Southern in a non-conference match. The Eagles held off the Ospreys in a close back and forth battle, picking up the 3-1 victory.
The Camels (10-15, 4-4 A-Sun) are lead by Allyson Goldbach and Emily Werner with 2.84 and 2.56 kills per set, respectively. Campbell has two players splitting time at setter with Heather Wilson averaging 4.58 assists per set while Paige Tortorello is adding 4.37 per set. Defensively, the Camels are led by Kelsey Campbell with 3.58 digs per set. Caitlin Bendy leads the team with 92 blocks this season.
Last weekend the Camels split decisions, falling to Kennesaw State, 3-1 before picking up a 3-2 win over Mercer.
Campbell holds the slight 4-3 advantage over the Ospreys in the all-time series. The Camels picked up both wins last season, defeating UNF 3-1 in Jacksonville. Pridgeon averaged 5.25 kills per set against the Camels last season and Baran averaged 5.25 digs.
Following Saturday's match, the Ospreys will be at home in their final home game of the season, facing crosstown rival Jacksonville on Friday, Nov. 12 at 7p.m. In addition to being a SunTrust River City Rumble contest, it will also mark Senior Night for the Ospreys.
