
Ospreys to Make Trip to Savannah State

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida women's basketball team will make the trip to Savannah, Ga. to face Savannah State on Saturday, Nov. 27 in a 2 p.m. contest in Tiger Arena.
The Ospreys (1-3) are coming off a close 54-51 loss to Florida. UNF was led by Brittany Kirkland with 15 points. Larkira Jones notched a career high 13 rebounds.
Kirkland leads the team with 15 points per game and dishing out a team best 2.75 assists per game. Juliemay Syquio is adding 9.3 points per game. Jones is adding 5.5 points while pulling down 7.8 rebounds per game.
The Tigers (1-3) fell to Charlotte, 79-41 in their last outing. Leading SSU is Darice Fountaine with 20.3 points per game. Ezinne Kalu is adding 12.5 points per game. Alisha Nelson is grabbing 9.0 rebounds per game.
UNF holds the 5-3 advantage in the series and picked up the last win. The Ospreys secured a 56-42 decision last season at the Osprey Holiday Classic in Jacksonville, Fla. Kirkland led UNF with 14 points while Jadhken Kerr added 11.
Following Saturday's contest, the Ospreys will open conference action on Thursday, Dec. 2, hosting Florida Gulf Coast with a 5:30 p.m. tip. UNF will continue conference home play on Saturday, Dec. 4 hosting Stetson at 4:30 p.m.
