
UNF to Open Atlantic Sun Play on the Road

The North Florida volleyball team opens A-Sun play against Belmont and Lipscomb this weekend.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida volleyball team will travel to Nashville, Tenn. to open Atlantic Sun Conference action on Friday, Sept. 11 against Lipscomb at 7:30 p.m. (EST) in Allen Arena. UNF will face Belmont on Saturday, Sept. 12 in a 3:00 p.m. (EST) at the Curb Center in Nashville.
Leading the Ospreys (4-3) is junior middle blocker Kaley Read, averaging 4.38 kills per set. Read also leads the conference in kills, recording 127 in the first seven matches of the season. Danielle Lerch, a junior outside hitter, is second on the team with 2.24 kills per set. Junior setter Jessica Catelano is averaging 9.42 assists per set while freshman Paige Pridgeon leads the team with 2.43 digs per set. Pridgeon is also post 1.96 kills per set on the offensive side.
For Lipscomb (4-3), Alex Kelly leads the team with 4.30 kills per set, ranking just behind Read in the A-Sun standings. Kelly also leads the Lady Bison on the defensive side, averaging 3.65 digs per set. Meghan Hinemeyer is averaging 3.48 kills per set. Setter Jake Pease is putting up 11.43 assists per set.
The Bruins (2-7) are being led by Maggie Johnson who is averaging 3.25 kills per set. Carly Frazier is adding 2.72 kills per set. Channing Salava is notching 8.78 assists per set while Megan Clements is adding 4.75 digs per set on the defensive side.
