
Ospreys Swoop Past Chanticleers, 4-0

After Friday's match, head coach Linda Hamilton wanted to come out and do things a little differently. For the Ospreys, things couldn't be better scoring seven goals this weekend.
In the first half play was sluggish, both sides combined for three shots overall.
“At halftime, we made some adjustments,” said
Senior forward Katelin Swift scored the first goal of the game in the 54th minute, fighting past two defenders, before finding the back left corner of the net.
“I think it's a great way to start off the season,” said Swift. “The team played great and we expect more to come during conference play.”
Three minutes later, in the 57th minute, midfielder Elena Luzins scored her first goal of her senior season after receiving a deflected shot from Caitlin Kovacs.

Throughout the second half the Ospreys pressured the Chanticleers testing their defense at every turn. In the 67th minute freshman forward Michele Larrinaga, who was fresh off the bench, scored her second goal of the season.
On the play, Larrinaga received an assist from Swift's half-field run from midfield and a timely cross from the right side for the one-time strike that beat the CCU keeper.
On the final goal, sophomore forward Maja Reichardt was able to finish up UNF's scoring after receiving a rebound off the crossbar to put the Ospreys up four.
“I keep telling the girls that this team is a process and we just have to go step-by-step and this is just another step getting their first win of the season,” said
UNF returns to action on Friday, Sept. 4, as they head across town to participate in the Jacksonville University Tournament. The Ospreys open the event against
