Ospreys close rain shortened event with top-5 finish
Greenville, S.C. – University of North Florida golfer Chris Kennedy closed out the Furman Intercollegiate with a 3-over-par 75 at the Furman University Golf Course to finish tied for third.
UNF closed the event – which was shortened to 54 holes because of rain – with a 307 to finish fourth. The Ospreys shot a team total of 603, finishing seven strokes behind Virginia Tech and Furman and eight behind tournament winner
Jordan Gibb shot 77 to finish toed for 11th, while J.C. Horne matched Gibb's score and finished the event tied for 39th. Kevin Aylwin shot a 78, while Jeff Dennis recorded an 80 to round out the scoring.
Furman's Austin Reeves fired a final round 66 to work his way into a playoff, which he won to take home medalist honors.
UNF will wrap its regular season April 6-7 when it heads to the Bank of America Intercollegiate before traveling to the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship April 20-22 in
