Tournament takes place Feb. 22-24 at Sawgrass CC

In what has become one of the best traditions in college golf, UNF once again will host the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational at Sawgrass Country Club on the shores of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

Beginning Sunday, Alabama will look for its third-straight title at the event, while a host of other highly-ranked teams will be right there to try to claim collegiate golf's first major tournament of the spring. This year's tournament features newcomer Arizona State along with tournament regulars LSU, Tennessee and UAB. Duke will also make an appearance at the event after a three-year absence.

The host Ospreys have not claimed a John Hayt Collegiate Invitational title since 1994. A win this week, however, would put UNF right back in the mix for a second-straight NCAA Regional appearance.

Tournament action gets started Sunday at 8 a.m. and concludes Tuesday afternoon with an awards ceremony at Sawgrass Country Club after play is complete. Check out the tournament home page to follow all the action at the 2009 event.
