Stan Januska leads UNF with 12 points
JACKSONVILLE
The Dolphins (14-10, 12-3 A-Sun) hit 34-of-42 Free throws on the night, grossly outnumbering a UNF squad that hit only 3-of-8.
“They were the aggressors all night,” UNF head coach Matt Kilcullen said. “They did a great job going to the basket and getting to the free throw line. We were settling for jump shots and not going to the free throw line.”
The Dolphins pounded the ball into the paint from the first minute of play, and controlled the boards, outrebounding the Ospreys 39-20.
Stan Januska and Zack Riggins each scored in double figures to lead the Ospreys, while three Dolphins scored in double figures, led by Lehmon Colbert who scored 13 points. Marcus Allen followed him with 12 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
UNF struggled from the field in the first six minutes of play, hitting one of its first seven shots and falling behind 8-2. JU controlled the boards during that stretch, pulling down seven offensive rebounds, and four in its first two possessions.
Januska hit the first shot outside of the paint for the Ospreys when he buried a 3-pointer from the baseline to make it an 11-7 contest.
Riggins kept the Ospreys in the contest early, scoring six of the team's first nine points. JU, however, was able to keep tacking onto its lead from the free throw line and eventually carried a 30-15 advantage into the locker room at the half.
Riggins led the Ospreys with six points at the break, while Aric Brooks scored nine points off the bench to lead the Dolphins. Brooks scored seven of his points at the free throw line, where JU was 13-of-20 for the half, compared to UNF, which was 0-for-2.
The Ospreys shot 29.2 percent from the field in the opening half and were outrebounded 23-12. Ten of
UNF started pounding the ball inside during the first eight minutes of the second half, getting solid play from Matt Sauey who scored four of the team's first eight points in the half. JU, however, caught fire from the field early in the half and was able to expand its lead to 43-23.

UNF shot 42.9 percent from the field for the game, compared to JU, which shot 41.9 percent. The Dolphins won the turnover battle, forcing UNF into 15 turnovers while giving the ball away 12 times.
