
Volleyball Set for Final Road Trip of Regular Season

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida volleyball team takes to the road for its final away matches of the 2009 regular season. The Ospreys will face East Tennessee State at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, in Brooks Gym before playing Campbell at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, in the Pope Center.
Leading the Ospreys (10-16, 4-12 A-Sun) is junior middle blocker Kaley Read with 3.82 kills per set. Freshman outside hitter Paige Pridgeon is adding 2.91 kills per set while senior outside hitter Agata Dawidowicz is tallying 1.99 kills per set. Junior setter Jessica Catelano is putting up 9.14 assists per set and freshman libero Nicole Baran is notching 2.69 digs per set.
For the Bucs (9-16, 7-9 A-Sun) Whitney Cogburn is averaging 2.42 kills per set. Erin Ryan is adding 2.38 kills while Alysa Long and McKayla Barber are posting 2.19 and 2.13 kills per set, respectively. Amanda Youell is tallying 9.58 assists per set and Jen Neice is averaging 3.16 digs per set.
UNF defeated ETSU earlier in the season, 3-1 (21-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-23) at UNF Arena. Read had 15 kills and Dawidowicz added 13 for the Ospreys. Cogburn tallied 15 kills for the Bucs in the match. ETSU holds the slight one match, 4-3 lead over UNF in the All-Time series.
The Camels (16-11, 9-7 A-Sun) are being led by Emily Werner with 2.89 kills per set. Ashley Weers is adding 2.58 kills and Allyson Goldbach is notching 2.16 kills per set. Hope Leatigaga and Paige Tortorello are averging 7.79 and 5.98 assists per set, respectively. Sarah Hill leads on the defense with 3.95 digs per set.
North Florida fell to Campbell earlier in the season, 3-1 (15-25, 19-25, 25-22, 18-25) at UNF Arena. Pridgeon led all attackers with 17 kills. Werner had 16 kills for the Camels and Goldbach added 15.
