
Savannah State Visits UNF Arena Wednesday For Home Opener at 7 p.m.

Ospreys At Illinois State Saturday
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – New head coach Matthew Driscoll and his University of North Florida men's basketball team will begin a two-game week with their home debut vs. Savannah State on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m. at UNF Arena.
The Ospreys (0-1) opened the season on the road Saturday at Notre Dame, falling 86-65 to the Irish. Senior guard Stan Januska led UNF with 14 points, while freshmen Jerron Granberry added 13 and Andy Diaz 11.
Savannah State is 1-0 on the year after defeating Webber International, 65-51, Friday at home. The Tigers take on Central Connecticut State on Monday at home before traveling to Jacksonville.

At the game on Wednesday, the UNF Florida Department of Athletics and men's basketball team are encouraging fans to bring a new Teddy Bear to the game. Any Teddy Bears collected will be distributed by the men's basketball team to children in Jacksonville area hospitals who won't be able to share their holidays at home with their families. Build a Bear has graciously sponsored bears to be donated as well as half time prizes.
“We are extremely excited to be able to collect new Teddy Bears and deliver them to children in the area, helping to provide a smile during the holiday season,” said Driscoll.
Prior to the game in front of UNF Arena the Department of Athletics and UNF Alumni Services will host their second “Swap It and Swoop” event from 6-6:45 p.m.. Bring a t-shirt from another college or university and swap it for a North Florida t-shirt.
After Savannah State the Ospreys return to the road for the first game of a nine-game road swing at Illinois State on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 5 p.m. ET. Illinois State is 1-0 after beating SIU-Edwardsville 82-60 on Sunday. Saturday's game can be heard on AM 1320 WBOB in Jacksonville or on-line at 1320WBOB.com. It will air on taped delay at 7:30 p.m. ET.
The Ospreys open Atlantic Sun Conference play after Illinois State with a two-game road trip to Campbell (Friday, Nov. 27 at 6:15 p.m. ET) and East Tennessee State (Sunday, Nov. 29 at 4 p.m. ET).
A season ticket for basketball is $120 and includes all men's and women's home games, a total of 28 games on 19 event dates, including nine Atlantic Sun Conference double headers. A special rate is available for UNF Alumni ($110) and UNF Faculty and Staff ($105). A Family 4-pack is also available for the season at $360. Select seating areas require an Osprey Club membership (per seat donation).
Single-game pricing is $10 for adults and $8 for youth 17-and-under and senior citizens 55-and-older. Children 2-and-under and any current UNF student with a valid Osprey1 Card are admitted free. Student guest passes are $5 and limited to one per student.
