UNF soars at ERAU Challenge

Women take first overall in Daytona Beach
DAYTONA BEACH
The women's team dominated the meet, taking first-place overall with 186 points. Senior Emily Kohler had first-place finishes in both the long jump (5.31m) and high jump (5-3). The new lineup of Melissa Sams, Amy Stroder, Charisma Anderson and Lindsay Tafs in 4x400m relay helped the Lady Ospreys take home first-place with a time of 4:02.54.
Senior Amanda Davey established a new career-best in the mile with a first-place time of 5:17.60, shattering her previous best of 5:26.76.
On the men's side, sophomore transfer Will Pearce continued to contribute effectively. Pearce placed second in the mile (4:27.27) and took fifth in the 5000m (16:35.19). Fellow sophomore Chris Fulcher finished in third-place right behind with a time of 4:30.74, toppping his personal best of 4:32.43. The men's team took home third-place overall with 74 points.
Other individual performances on Saturday included:
--The 4x400m relay team of Marvin Moore, Dane Simmons, Mike Sprague and Fulcher finished fifth with a time of 3:34.68
--Kierra Miller finished second in the shot put with a distance of 34-6
--Elise Trexler finished third in the triple jump with a distance of 10.44m
--Moore finished second in the 800m with a time of 2:00.64
--Vince Corlew finished third in the 3000m with a time of 8:57.40
--
The men's and women's squads will have a week off before returning to action at the Tiger Invitational in
