Joe Byun leads UNF with tie for 17th

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – University of North Florida freshman Joe Byun shot a final round 74 to lead the Ospreys at the Gridiron Classic, recording a tie for 17th in a field that included 83 players.
UNF fell three spots in the final standings from its second round position to finish tied for 13th with UNC Greensboro. The Ospreys shot 305 on Tuesday and 908 (+68) overall for the tournament.
Byun proved to be the most consistent player for the Ospreys on the week. He did not record a birdie on Tuesday but did not have a score worse than a bogey, finishing with seven-straight pars. Byun opened the tournament with a pair of 73s Monday on the par 70 layout of Warren Golf Course.
Chris Kennedy's 75 led him to a tie for 39th in the final standings, while J.C. Horne tried to get back on track after a rough beginning Monday, closing out his event with a 74 to jump six spots in the final standings and finish 73rd. Jeff Dennis finished two spots ahead of Horne in the final standings after shooting 83 to close out his event. Major Forbess' 82 dropped him into a 75th-place finish and completed the scoring for UNF.
