UNF closes its season with four home matches
DELAND,
UNF (7-8-0, 3-3-0 A-Sun) struggled early in the match, failing to send a single shot toward the Hatters' net until after halftime. In the second half, the Ospreys fired seven shots, two on goal, but were unable to put one past Stetson keeper Logan Potter, who finished with two saves.
Restino, a transfer from Webber International, was tested early and often with Stetson (5-5-1, 2-2-1) taking seven shots in the first half, three on frame. The Hatters added to Restino's workload in the second half, zipping 18 total shots toward the net. Seven were on goal and Restino made each save.
Though the two teams combined for 32 shots in the first 90 minutes of play, neither found the back of the net, and the contest needed extra time to be decided.
Forty-two seconds into overtime, Stetson's Richard Porteous found himself alone in the box and fired the only shot of the additional time past Restino for the golden goal – his second goal of the season.
With 65 saves this season, Restino needs just one more to place his name on the UNF men's soccer record book top-10 list for saves in a single season. He has averaged 4.33 saves per match this season and is on pace to finish with 82, which would rank seventh on the single-season list.
The Ospreys wrap up their 2008 schedule on a four-match homestand, beginning with a SunTrust River City Rumble against
