UNF faces Flagler College on Wednesday
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of North Florida women's soccer team concludes the 2007 season at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, facing off against Flagler College at Hodges Stadium.
UNF (7-11-1, 6-5 A-Sun) heads into the match after playing its best soccer of the season against cross-town rival Jacksonville. The Lady Ospreys defeated Jacksonville 2-1, with goals from Kristin Lazowick and Katelin Swift. The victory helped UNF clinch a sixth-place finish in the Atlantic Sun Conference, which would have been enough to allow the team to move on to postseason play for the third consecutive year. However, due to NCAA Division I reclassification, UNF is ineligible for postseason play until 2009.
Flagler (10-8-1) enters the game on a four-game unbeaten streak after blanking Brevard College 4-0 on Nov. 3. Flagler has been led by freshman forward Annika Hogber, who has broken the school's single-season points record with 42.

Lazowick has also had a slight offensive presence for the Lady Ospreys, scoring two goals this season while only registering two shots on goal.

UNF vs. Flagler: The Lady Ospreys opened the season with a 4-0 win on Aug. 25, 2006.
Quotable:
Head Coach Linda Hamilton on playing Flagler: "We are excited to play Flagler and get another game in. We want to go out and play with the same intensity we had against Jacksonville. Our goal is to continue to play quality soccer all the way to the end."
Hamilton on finishing sixth in the A-Sun: "It's a respectable finish. It's comforting to know that we would have still made the conference tournament. We played several games that could have gone either way, but that's the mark of a young team."
