Ospreys look to stay perfect at home in 2007-08
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of North Florida men's basketball team will try to shake off a difficult night suffered in Gainesville, Fla., earlier this week when it plays host to Charleston Southern in a Friday night game at UNF Arena. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
The game will mark a first for UNF against a team from the Big South Conference but will offer the Ospreys a chance to keep their home court record perfect in 2007-08. UNF won both of its preseason events (a scrimmage vs. FCCJ and an exhibition vs. Edward Waters) and then knocked off Concordia in their home opener a week ago.
The Ospreys enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal together on Thursday after opening the day with a morning practice.
Through four games, the Ospreys have been led in scoring by junior transfer Tom Hammonds (12.3 ppg), but seniors Chris Timberlake and James Grimball have each averaged nine points over the last two games to pull in behind Hammonds and freshman Justin Cecil (8.8 ppg) atop the scoring chart.
