
UNF falls 4-3 at UCF

ORLANDO, Fla. - The North Florida men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 match to homestanding UCF on Thursday afternoon at the UCF Tennis Complex, falling just short despite making a late charge in singles play.
The match was the first for UNF (11-7) in nine days.
UCF sophomore Sinan Sudas clinched the win for UCF, defeating the Ospreys' Matias Sigal at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4. The Golden Knights (10-8) opened the contest by taking the doubles point after winning all three matches.
UNF got a win from Eduardo Pereira at No. 1 singles, 6-1 7-6 (2), over UCF's Alamgir Wali. UNF's Jose Terrera defeated Norman Alcantara 5-7, 6-1, 6-4 at the No. 3 position, and Elad Gabay upended UCF's Sebastian Delgado 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 4 position.
The Ospreys return to action with a road swing through South Carolina this weekend - facing South Carolina State on Saturday at 1 p.m. and Charleston Southern on Sunday at 10 a.m.
