
UNF opens home slate

The University of North Florida swimming and diving team will open its 2006-07 home slate on Saturday when it hosts the College of Charleston, Florida A&M and New Orleans.
UNF won its opening meet on Oct. 28, defeating Campbell 133-72.
The Lady Ospreys defeated both Florida A&M and New Orleans last season at home.
The Lady Ospreys will follow this weekend's meet up with a trip to Davidson next weekend.

UNF Notables: UNF head coach Beth Harrell welcomes 11 freshmen to her squad this season, along with one sophomore transfer ... that group will mix with a talented group of upperclassmen that includes senior Jenn Shields and junior Savannah Codd ... five freshmen recorded top three finishes for the Lady Ospreys in their opening meet of the season last week at Campbell ... that group included Justine Kane who took home a first place finish in the 100-butterfly and a second- place finish in the 200-freestyle.
