JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (March 8, 2005) - The No. 4 ranked Lady Ospreys improved their season record to 8-2 on Tuesday, defeating Eastern Kentucky 7-2 at UNF Tennis Courts.
UNF jumped out in doubles, taking all three matches 8-2, 8-3, and 8-4. That momentum carried over to singles where North Florida was able to take five matches, all in straight sets.
"The team came in pretty fired up today," head coach Tom Schrader said. "This was a good win against a good opponent."
North Florida will take on No. 6 Rollins on Wednesday at UNF, in what will be a tough test for the Lady Ospreys.
"The match against Rollins will be a big test for our team," Schrader said. "Playing Rollins is a big rivalry for us, so we need to be prepared."
The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. at UNF Tennis Courts.
