
UNF wins sprint meet

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The University of North Florida swimming team won nine of 11 events in an all-out sprint meet to defeat North Carolina A&T 116-61 on Thursday in Greensboro, N.C.
Winning for the Ospreys were: Katrina Johnson (500 free), Scotti Williams (50 free), Jenn Shields (100 IM and 50 back), Marie Yeager (50 fly), Monique Salles-Cunha (100 free) and Loren Roycraft (200 free). The Lady Ospreys also won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:53.93.
Donielle Campbell won the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 32:31 to keep the Ospreys from a sweep of the individual awards. The Aggie team of Asha el-Shair, Sign Waldbauer, Ashley Farr, and Aasiya Townsell won the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:53.17.
Every event in the meet was a sprint, with nothing longer than 500-yards.
The win was the third in a row for UNF and improved the Lady Ospreys' record to 3-1 on the season.
