
UNF swims by Campbell

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of North Florida women's swimming and diving team captured its first win of the season on Saturday, defeating Campbell 125-75 at the UNF Aquatics Center.
With the win, UNF evened its record to 1-1, while Campbell slipped to 0-3 on the season.
UNF got off to a strong start, winning the 400-medley relay. The team of Dana Constantino, Monique Salles-Cunha, Alison Marshall and Marie Yeager won the event in a time of 4:06.40. UNF and Campbell tied for second in the event, while the Camels finished fourth.
UNF went on to sweep the top four spots in the 200-freestyle to add to its lead, with Savannah Codd taking the top spot with a time of 1:59.18. Scotti Williams followed her in a time of 2:00.17, while Lindsey McKelvey (2:04.81) and Christie Britt (2:05.63) finished third and fourth respectively, completing the sweep.
Campbell captured its first win of the day when Heidi Shallow (2:16.66) edged out UNF's Loran Roycraft (2:17.09) in the 200 IM.
UNF led 69-24 after the first five events.
The Lady Ospreys went on to take three of the next four events, with Campbell's Patricia Jimenez winning the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 55.79 seconds.
North Florida returns to the UNF Aquatics Center next Saturday when it hosts New Orleans at 1 p.m.
