DeFreitas scored three goals and added an assist over the weekend, helping the Ospreys open A-Sun play with a 2-0 mark. He scored both goals against East Tennessee State in a double-overtime win on Friday before netting another game winner and assisting on a goal against USC Upstate on Sunday.
His weekend performance earned DeFreitas this week’s A-Sun Player of the Week honor. He leads the conference with three goals and seven points in league action.
