Sand Volleyball Bio2013 (senior): Finished career ranked in UNF’s all-time Top 10 for assists… compiled 2,752 assists, which ranked fourth all-time at UNF and the most among the Ospreys’ Division I setters… spent time as UNF’s setter, playing in 25 matches and starting in nine… appeared in 63 sets… averaged 4.94 assists per set and tallied 311 overall assists... put up a season-best 50 assists at Stetson (Sept. 20)… notched three assist-dig double-doubles, including two at the Benson’s Group Invitational (at Georgia, Sept. 13; vs. UNC Greensboro, Sept. 14)… added a 28-assist, 10-dig double-double at Northern Kentucky (Oct. 26)… served up a career-high four aces twice... 2012 (junior): UNF’s primary setter, playing in 33 matches and 122 sets… recorded 1,376 assists for the year, which were the most total assists in the Atlantic Sun… her 1,376 assists also ranked fifth in UNF’s single-season record book… finished third in the Atlantic Sun and 23rd nationally in assists per set (11.28)… tallied 50-or-more assists in 10 matches, including 60+ in two matches, and recorded eight double-doubles… put up a career-high 63 assists in UNF’s 3-2 upset of top-seeded Florida Gulf Coast (Nov. 16) in the Atlantic Sun Tournament semifinals… added 13 digs in the match against Florida Gulf Coast (Nov. 16)… had a 61-assist match in UNF’s 3-2 rally over Davidson (Sept. 8) at the Radisson/North Florida Invitational… posted back-to-back 50-or-more assist matches at USC Upstate (58 assists; Oct. 12) and at ETSU (50 assists; Oct. 13)... had a stand-out match at Stetson (Oct. 30), tallying 55 assists and an impressive career-high 25 digs… her 55 assists were the most of the season for a four-set match… tallied 44 assists and 13 digs against Winthrop (Sept. 15) at the Winthrop Classic for first double-double of the season… made a career-high six blocks against ETSU (Nov. 17) in the Atlantic Sun Tournament finals… tallied five blocks against Northern Kentucky (Oct. 20)… recorded a career-high seven kills at Northern Kentucky (Sept. 21)… earned All-Tournament honors at the Radisson/North Florida Invitational (Sept. 7-8) and the Winthrop Classic (Sept. 14-15)… named Atlantic Sun All-Academic and Conference Scholar.
2011 (sophomore): Saw action in 12 matches (31 sets)... ranked second on the team in assists with 126 (4.06 per set)... collected 33 digs from her setter position while also tallying eight kills and four blocks... tallied season best four kills against South Alabama... handed out a season high 37 assists versus UNC Wilmington and also posted eight digs... Atlantic Sun Academic Honor Roll member.
2010 (freshman): Started in 28 matches... led the team in assists with 939, averaging 8.94 per set... had a career-high 54 assists against Troy (Sept. 10)... tallied 16 matches with 30 or more assists, including a pair of matches with over 50... posted three double-doubles with digs and assists... had a career-high 13 digs against Troy (Sept. 10)... notched 23 aces... Atlantic Sun All-Academic.
High School: Set a single-season assist record at Lake Mary High School with 806 during senior year... had 62 kills, 39 aces, 21 blocks and 133 digs during the season...named the AVCA/Max Preps Florida Volleyball Player of the Week after tallying 92 assists, averaging 9.2 assists per set over 10 sets... named the ESPN RISE Regional Athlete of the Week on Oct. 29.
Personal: Majoring in psychology... daughter of Jon and Martina Claessens... has one brother, Joris and two sisters, Astrid and Judith... sister, Judith played soccer here at North Florida while sister Astrid was a student-athlete at UCF, competing in cross country/track and brother Joris played soccer at USF.
